There is a beautiful story behind Nikè, here is a small explanation:

The original marble statue, better known as the Nikè of Samothrace, dates from the second century BC and has been on display in the French museum since 1884. The statue represents Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. The maker is unknown.

This statue is therefore a replica of that special statue.
